In August 2021 KCC organised and hosted an active fundraiser to purchase new, and maintain existing public access defibrillators in our community. 137 people who took part in the inaugural Great Gynack Challenge, walking, running and gravel biking from the Dell, up around Loch Gynack and back to the Dell again and in the process raising over £3000 for the purchase of a defibrillator and the upkeep of existing ones in the community.

The town of Kingussie rose to the challenge of supporting vulnerable people within our community during the Covid 19 lockdowns. OneKingussie, a voluntary group, was formed by KCC and Cycle Friendly Kingussie in March 2020. 150 people signed up to help with shopping and prescriptions and taking calls. Many KCC Members and players signed up to help. In a small community like ours, this is a fantastic response. The volunteers worked hard to set up a simple and safe process’ for organising and delivering shopping from the Coop and for picking up prescriptions from Boots. OneKingussie also delivers a hot Christmas dinner to our communities senior citizen’s.

We have celebrated the lives of our past players, commemorating with their family and friends on the pitch at the Dell. Our players from age 8-88 joined together to form a guard of honour with Camans raised. Tommy Wade, Derek Young and Rab Muir were honoured as they took their final lap of the Dell.
