Chieftain: Joe Taylor
Joe, has been chieftain for more than 30 years, and is fast closing in on the Count de Serra Largo’s record of 34 years as the longest serving Chieftain of our club. His career with the Bank of Scotland took him to Fort William, Portree and Oban where he was always involved in club and CA administration before retiring back to Kingussie in the 1980’s. He served his National Service in the RAF and his ‘Flying Flying Fortresses at 40,000 feet’ song is indelibly etched in the memories of all KCC players of a certain age

Past President: Russell Jones
Former player and longstanding committee member, Russell has coached at every level for the club and is currently coaching the 2nd team.

Project Officer: John Robertson
Longest serving committee member who has been at the heart of every project undertaken by the club for over 30 years. Awarded the BEM in 2019 for his services to our club and the community in Kingussie. John was a fine forward for Kingussie and Tayforth before injury cut short his shinty career. AOCB is never complete until John produces his carrier bag full of paperwork.

Treasurer: Lorna McGregor
Lorna carries out a multitude of duties for both our club and Badenoch Ladies. Lorna’s roles include Treasurer for both clubs, committee member for both clubs, café convener and all round willing volunteer. Very deservedly won our volunteer of the year award in 2020.

Child Protection Officer: Ronald Ross
Shinty’s all time record goal scorer achieved legendary status in an astonishing playing career that will probably never be bettered. His career was given Royal recognition when he was awarded the MBE. A long serving Development Manager with the CA Ron ensures our club maintains good links with the governing body and has been a fantastic help to out teams.

Minutes Secretary: Sarah Fraser
Joined the committee in 2019 and has been a fantastic addition. Despite a very busy day job Sarah is always willing to volunteer and regularly fills roles from secretary to café operative (her cakes are amazing!). A native Gaelic speaker she is very handy when BBC Alba come to the Dell.

Club Trustee: Davie Anderson
Undoubtedly one of the GOATs. He did it all on the pitch and then coached every age group from Primary to 1st team. A long standing committee member he also organises the very successful club golf days.

Club Trustee: Iain Gunn
‘The Gunner’ An athlete in his younger days he captained our Sutherland Cup winning team of 1986. His career took him to Strathpeffer and then Blackpool for many years before returning to Kingussie a few years ago. Sarah’s cakes could take a hammering with Big Mike and the Gunner around the same committee table.

Club Trustee: Chris Donald
Chris has been an invaluable addition to the committee over the last few years. Has coached the u17s and 2nd teams in recent years. Always a cool head and worth listening to – except when he starts talking about Newcastle United.

Club Trustee: Mike Thain
Goalkeeper in a Sutherland Cup Final at 13 years old he went on to be one of our best ever full backs. Now a hard working committee member he lines the Dell every week and is the undisputed King of the BBQ.

Club Trustee: Louise Munro
A Nurse in Raigmore hospitals Medical High Dependency Unit, Louise also has a busy home life looking after her 3 boys Theo, Harris and Fraser! She is a great addition to the committee and has been taking an active role in events.

Club Trustee: Scott Shiells
Recently retired after a hugely successful career in the Timber industry, there’s not much Scott doesn’t know about soft wood. His business acumen is a great asset to the club.

Club Trustee: Craig Dawson
Another who has played for the club from Primary to 1st team level and was goalkeeper in the 2014 Camanachd Cup win. Head Greenkeeper at Carrbridge Golf Club Craig is sometimes allowed a shot of Clarkie’s mower on the Dell.

Club Trustee: Robert Mabon
Our First Team full back, past club captain and current Scotland international captain. Robert is also an active committee member.

Club Trustee: Rory MacKeachan
First team defender, past club captain and one of our most committed players. Outstanding public speaker as he proved at the dinner dance this year!
